Zipp Service Course Ergo Handlebar 42cm

When it comes to handlebars, tried and true aluminum remains the material of choice for many pros. That is usually because their bikes have to meet a minimum weight requirement. This means aluminum bars such as the Zipp Service Course Ergo have to meet the fit, durability and performance standards of teams such as Team Exergy TWENTY12 and Cannondale. The Zipp Service Course 70 Ergo Handlebars are produced using Zipp’s proprietary ZTL-71 alloy and intricate internal butting processes to achieve a weight of 285g with superior strength and rigidity. It features a classic look with round cross-sections throughout and is available in the same comfortable short and shallow or traditional bend shapes as our carbon bars. What’s more, the drops are angled outward by 2 degrees to reduce wrist strain. The Zipp Service Course Ergo handlebars are the replacement for the Zipp CSL bars. They were designed with Zipp’s SSR (Super Short Reach) dimensions — a 70mm reach means that it is easier for riders with shorter arms and smaller hands to reach the shifters while in the drops. The Zipp Service Course 70 Ergo road handlebars are available in 38cm-44cm measured center to center, and each bar fits a 31.8mm stem.
