The Specialized Allez Sprint Comp Road Bike 2018 climbs, corners, flat-out sprints – The Allez Sprint Comp does it all. Being the most advanced alloy road bike we’ve ever made, the Allez Sprint is just as capable as a crit-racing weapon as it is for an everyday racing steed. Redesigned for 2018, the all new Allez focuses on creating a super light, aero-dynamically proven design complete high-end components, all whilst staying within price range that’s perfect for the everyday cyclist. Refined year on year, E5 Alloy allows aggressive butting profiles that save weight and improve ride quality, allowing the new Allez frameset to save on 450-grams when compared to its predecessor. Taking inspiration from its carbon brother, the Tarmac, the Allez features a tapered head tube, internal cable routing and dropped seatstays. These features not only help the overall aero-dynamics of the bike, but also help create a ride quality that is head and shoulders above its class. Another big addition for the 2018 Specialized Allez is its full carbon fibre fork. Derived from the Tarmac, it features a full carbon steerer tube, this allows for substantial reductions in weight whilst also providing a stiffer, more precise, and better handling front end. Additionally without the junction between a carbon crown and alloy steerer tube, the ride quality has been further tuned to produce a smoother and more comfortable ride all-round. The Allez is a racing bike that’s not all about the numbers, it takes into account the features that make a great everyday road bike. Rack & fender mounts, Body Geometry components & shallow drop handlebars are just some of the quality components you’ll see featured that will help improve your stage performance, group rides & fast-paced commutes. Geometry-wise a few adjustments have been made, its slightly taller head tube has been paired with a longer wheelbase, helping create a more planted & predictable ride regardless of what the road ahead is like. For the build, the Specialized Allez Sprint Comp 2018 comes with Shimano 105 shifting, DT R460 alloy wheels, and a comfortable Body Geometry Toupe saddle. With all of these features, the Allez Sprint Comp redefines the potential of an alloy bike, so much so, that you’ll forget you’re not riding carbon. Specialized Allez Sprint Comp 2018 Features E5 Premium Aluminium frame with Allez D’Aluisio Smartweld Sprint Technology refocuses weld locations, allowing for more material to be placed where it’s needed for increased stiffness and compliance where you really need it. A top-tier S-Works FACT carbon fibre fork provides incredible stiffness and front end steering response, while also efficiently absorbing road chatter. The Venge FACT carbon fibre seatpost acts as a stiff, aerodynamic perch for your saddle.
