There’s just no serious competition for this standard-defining racer, newly redesigned for 2018 and featuring a lighter, stiffer, better-handling frame built from our premium C:62 carbon. We didn’t skimp on the frame, and neither did we spare the pennies on the components. There’s a full Shimano XT 2×11 transmission with matching hydraulic disc brakes for precise shifting and powerful stopping, a Fox 32 Float Performance fork to keep your front wheel planted and tracking straight and a lightweight Fulcrum Red 55 Boost wheelset shod with grippy Schwalbe tyres. You can rely on all this premium kit to get on with its job, so that you can get on with yours: chasing down that podium position. Light, stiff, comfortable, agile: those are the requirements of a successful cross-country race frame. For 2018 we started from scratch, beginning with our premium C:62 carbon and a revised geometry including a shorter, Boost through axle-equipped rear end. We added an integrated headset and PressFit bottom bracket for even more weight savings, then tweaked our acclaimed Agile Ride Geometry (ARG) for the best combination of speed and stability. The result is a lighter, stiffer, more responsive race frame that translates every ounce of your effort into forward progress. By choosing a slender 27.2mm seatpost and slim seatstays we even ensured that it’s suprisingly comfortable, so even longer riders and races won’t leave you feeling beaten up. As you’d expect, cables are routed internally for long-lasting clean gear shifts and reduced maintenance, and we even remembered to include cable routing for a future dropper post upgrade.
