Arundel Cork Handlebar Tape Red

Arundel Cork Wrap is really a lot of foam with cork chunks mixed in. This stuff was popularized in the ‘80’s too, but has withstood the test of time for good reason. Cork bar tape is thick and softens road vibration. It can soak up moisture and yet remains easy to grip. It is fairly durable and easy to install. It holds color well and doesn’t fade. You can wash it like you wash the car; soapy rag, scrub, rinse, repeat. Cork is our favorite in the cooler months. It’s a fatter grip that works great with gloved hands. It’s also fine for hot summers and sweaty bike riders, but it works better if you wash it often. Cork bar tape is still with us because it is good stuff. Arundel Cork Wrap Features Cork Bar Tape EVA foam with natural cork Available in 5 cool colours, black, white, red, yellow and blue. Two rolls per box enough for 1 standard road bar Complete with finishing tape and end plugs. Bar tape instructions Remove old stinky tape and scrub sweat residue off bars. If bars are corroded, buy new bars. This is no time to save money. Place a 3” section of Arundel tape around brake clamp to cover it up. Begin wrapping from the end. 5-8mm overlap, maintain constant pressure, but don’t tear it. Continue wrapping until you run into the stem. Un-wrap some tape because you went too far. Cut end diagonally so it’s straight. Slap the enclosed “finishing tape” on your tool box, chainstay, bumper, etc. Find some nice electrical tape and use it to hold the barwrap in place. Tuck the overlapped tape into the bar end and install the plugs. Admire your fine work. Ride bike, don’t crash!
